Ambassador Barrett is president and chief executive officer of Triple Creek Guest Ranch, a Montana hideaway, and serves as a member of the board of the Space Foundation. Until January 2009, Barrett was U.S. Ambassador to Finland. Previously, she was founding chairman of Valley Bank of Arizona and president and chief executive officer of the American Management Association, the world’s largest provider of management education, leadership training, and business publishing. Barrett earned her bachelor’s, master’s and law degrees from Arizona State University. Honorary doctorates have been conferred by Arizona State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Thunderbird School of Global Management, and the University of South Carolina.
