Mr. Peter B. Teets

Under Secretary of the Air Force and Director of the National Reconnaissance Office, 2001-2005

Mr. Teets served as under secretary of the Air Force and director of the National Reconnaissance Office. As under secretary, he was responsible for actions of the Air Force on behalf of the secretary of the Air Force and was acting secretary in the secretary's absence.  Previously, Teets was president and COO of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Teets earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado, where he also received an Honorary Doctor of Science; he also earned a Master of Science degree in management from MIT.  In 2009, Teets received The General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award.
