Mr. Josh Hartman

Senior Fellow, Technology & Public Policy, Center for Strategic and International Studies

Mr. Hartman is a senior fellow with the CSIS Technology and Public Policy Program. His career has focused on development and execution of strategy and programs covering missile defense, cyberspace, intelligence, and space. Previously, he was senior adviser to the under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics and director of the Space and Intelligence Capabilities Office (SIO).   Hartman began his career as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Hartman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in astrophysics from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science degree in strategic intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College.
