
Colonel Tom Henricks, USAF (retired) is president of The McGraw-Hill Companies’ AVIATION WEEK. Previously he held positions with Textron Inc. and The Timken Company. A NASA astronaut and senior manager from 1985 to 1997, he flew four Space Shuttle missions serving as commander and pilot. While in the U. S. Air Force he served as a commander, test pilot, and fighter pilot while flying the F-16 and F-4 aircraft. He is a graduate of the USAF Test Pilot School, Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun), and the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is an owner/operator of a 1940 Stearman bi-plane.
