
General Haywood is director of requirements, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., responsible for ensuring future space and missile systems meet the operational needs of joint forces into the 21st century. Haywood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pa. He earned three Master of Science degrees: one in systems engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; one in airpower art and science, School of Advanced Airpower Studies, Air University, Maxwell AFB, Ala.; and one in national resource strategy, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C.
