About the 26th National Space Symposium
The 26th National Space Symposium offers workshops, forums, panels, presentations covering all aspects of space, and the extensive AMERICOM Government Services Exhibit Center. The top allure for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers - of which there were nearly 8,000 in 2009 - is as a venue for networking and conducting meaningful business.
The Symposium includes a spectacular opening ceremony; Congressional Luncheon; Corporate Partnership Dinner; and the Space Technology Hall of Fame Dinner, which honors technologies, organizations, and individuals for transforming space technology into commercial products that improve life on Earth. The Symposium also offers programs for targeted educator and student groups.
In addition to the mainstream program, the 26th National Space Symposium includes greatly expanded programs for young, up-and-coming "new generation" space professionals.
About Cyber 1.0
Cyber 1.0, which will be held on April 12, features presentations and interactive demos aimed at clarifying Air Force Space Command (AFSPC)'s newly acquired cyberspace mission. It will include discussion of the pervasive influence of the cyber domain on modern life; a Department of Defense perspective on cyberspace; an overview of the 24th Air Force cyberspace mission; and discussion of cyber acquisition policies and procedures.
The included Cyber 1.0 luncheon, sponsored by General Dynamics, will look at the domain from "inside the beltway."
