The Space Foundation recognizes the need for input and development of tomorrow’s space sector leaders. That’s why at this year’s 26th National Space Symposium the Space Foundation is making New Generation space leaders a key focus of our conference. Participants will gain visibility and exposure to senior leaders while they get advice and insight on career development. The New Generation programming will be multi-dimensional. New Gen Leadership Exchange

The Space Foundation is committed to helping the space industry attract and retain talented up and coming leaders for our industry. Part of this is to provide New Gen space professionals the opportunity to learn from senior space industry leaders. Participants of the New Gen Leadership Exchange will interface with leading space professionals who will provide “big picture” career advice and other insights into how they got where they are today.

Complimenting the New Gen Leadership Exchange, will be this workshop that helps New Gen participants with more near-term career decisions. New Generation attendees will hear from space professionals who are “mid-stride” in their space careers, as they provide near-term and tactical career advice.
New Gen Workshop: "Social Networking Applications for Advancing Space"

Social networking applications are providing the space community new ways to engage the public and spread the word about space. Today astronauts on the International Space Station are sharing their experiences and stunning images through live tweets with their followers on Twitter. This workshop will provide participants with expert insight on how the space community is using social networking applications like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and other tools to advance the space agenda.
New Gen Working Lunch with Miles O’Brien

Mile O’Brien the host of “This Week in Space” will provide the keynote address at Thursday’s luncheon. O’Brien, who is well known for his 17 years of experience covering space-related issues at CNN now does a weekly podcast on the latest stories and issues ongoing in space.
